A special guided tour of the Academy of Sciences. Meet at 11:00 AM at the main entrance and look for person with AIGA sign. Limited to first 25.
The new Academy of Sciences is designed to engage and inspire like no other museum on the planet. Not only is the building, itself, a stunning architectural achievement but the new Academy contains multiple venues, hundreds of unique exhibits and nearly 40,000 live animals.

SF DUMP TOUR
We scheduled a special add-on tour of
The San Francisco Dump for registrants of
Compostmodern. Learn about San Francisco ‘s 3-Cart Recycling Program
which makes it far easier and more convenient for residents and
businesses to recycle.
Making recycling easier results in a
dramatic increase in material recovery and allows San Francisco to
surpass California’s 50 percent recycling law, AB939. In fact, their
innovative programs helped San Francisco reach a 67% garbage diversion
rate in 2004.
The tour is open to all Compostmodern attendees on a first-come, first-served and limited basis.
Please note: Wear closed-toed sturdy shoes (no sandals or heels). It’s best to wear old boots.
